QUEZON CITY, Philippines - Jodie Sta. Maria and Richard Yap a.k.a. ‘Papa Chen’ are all set to star for the newest Kapamilya teleserye titled, ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ that airs today, July 9.

Jodie plays as Maya a ‘probinsyana’ (a woman from the province) who dreams of becoming a stewardess.
“Masasabi ko na mai-inspire sila sa character ni Maya. Isa siyang tao na napak-positibo ng pananaw sa buhay [I can say that people will get to be inspired by Maya’s character. She is one positive individual,” Jodie said.
Also she added that she really liked the character of Maya so when it was offered to her, she immediately took the role.
On the other hand, Richard plays as Mr. Lim, a widower and a businessman who needed to have a nanny to take good care of his kids.

“Widower ako dito na nahirapang palakihin ang mga anak dahil busy din sa negosyo kaya kailangan ko ng tulong [I’m a widower here, who’s having some difficulties in raising my kids because of being busy with my business, and I needed someone to help me with the task],” Richard shared.
It’s the first time that Jodie and Richard get to play a leads. Both are excited to play for the newest offering of ABS-CBN and are looking forward to giving the viewers with a different show. Both stars are thankful to be offered with the said roles and for the Kapamilya network to trust them with the said show.
Jodie jokingly commented that it’s surprising that at their age they landed a love-team role.

“It’s more of an unexpected love story. Maraming kilig moments na dapat abangan and I’m sure maraming makakarelate dito [It’s an unexpected love story. There are some giddy moments, which viewers can watch out for and I’m sure a lot can relate to],” Richard commented.
Hypothetically, Richard was asked during the grand press conference if, he’s not married, will he fall in love with Jodie in real life and he replied, “If the circumstances are right and we are both single, yes there is a chance.”
‘Be Careful with My Heart’ is a different television series compared to the usual ones for the show aims to be a light-drama and will promote optimism to the viewers.
“Light drama lang siya na may halong comedy [It’s a light drama that is mixed with comical stuff],” Jodie said.
Other cast members for this latest Kapamilya offering are Jerome Perez, Janella Salvador, Mutya Orquia, Aiza Seguerra, Sylvia Sanchez, Robert Ortega, Divina Valencia, and Gloria Sevilla.
‘Catch Be Careful with My Heart’ airs during weekdays before ‘It’s Showtime’ in ABS-CBN’s Prime-Tanghali.
