MANILA, Philippines - Our very own motherland soared high as it, the Philippines, was chosen as one of the top dive destinations at the recently concluded Marine Diving Fair held in Tokyo Japan on April 6-8 this year.
Once again, the Philippines attested the claim of being a must-see dive destination as it was ranked with Palau and Maldives among the 200 exhibitors from 50 countries. The Philippines made waves during the aforementioned largest diving and beach resort exhibitions in Asia wherein chosen places were determined via votes by Marine Diving magazine subscribers, Marine Diving magazine being the most prestigious dive publications in Japan.
This is not a new venture of Department of Tourism, since it is part of the agency’s aim to preserve the country’s ‘good streak’ in the international scope as one of the best tourist destination. The Philippines has been consistent on ransacking acknowledgement in regards to Tourism—taking into account that it has been continuously named as one of the top five dive destinations and always making it to the top five of ‘Best Oversees Destination.’

The Philippines' booth attracted a lot of probable divers to visit the country.
This being another ‘nod’ for the Philippines aptly coincides with DOT’s ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines.’ That slogan was also incorporated with the colorful Philippine booth wherein five aquariums were showcased for the audience to see while underwater paintings were displayed on the wall as its backdrop.
With this another great exposure, the country can hope and expect for the tourism industry to boost even more.
